Unlock Hidden Revenue Across Your Portfolio
When Company A and Company B in your portfolio both serve the same customer, that's not a coincidence — it's a warm introduction opportunity. PE Ontology automatically detects these overlaps and helps you activate them.
The Network Effect PE Firms Miss
Customer data lives in silos
Each portfolio company maintains its own customer database. Nobody knows that Byers and KMP both serve the same Fortune 500 manufacturer — because the data never crosses company boundaries.
Warm introductions go unmade
A satisfied customer of Company A is the perfect prospect for Company B. But without knowing the overlap exists, your BD teams cold-call when they could warm-call.
Cross-sell revenue stays hidden
PE firms invest in complementary construction trades specifically for cross-sell potential. But if the data isn't connected, the thesis never activates.
How Portfolio Intelligence Works
Upload customer lists from each portfolio company. PE Ontology's matching algorithms find the overlaps automatically.
Smart Customer Matching
Three-tier matching: domain match (95% confidence), address match (90%), and contact email match (85%). Catches overlaps even when company names are spelled differently.
Overlap Detection
Automatically identifies when 2+ portfolio companies share a customer. Each overlap shows which companies are involved, the shared customer, and the match confidence score.
Introduction Facilitation
Create warm introduction requests directly from overlaps. Track status from requested → made → in progress → deal closed. Measure the revenue generated from network effects.
Portfolio Company Mapping
Visual map of all portfolio companies, their customers, and the relationships between them. See which companies have the most overlap potential.
Trade Partner Network
Track subcontractors, suppliers, and engineering firms across the portfolio. Identify preferred vendors that multiple companies already trust.
Network Value Tracking
Track the dollar value of deals that originate from introductions. Measure the ROI of your portfolio intelligence strategy over time.
From Data to Deals in 3 Steps
Upload customer lists from each company
Export CSVs from Monday.com, Salesforce, HubSpot, or any CRM. Our smart column mapper auto-detects company name, domain, address, and contact fields. Deduplication is automatic.
Overlaps are detected automatically
The algorithm runs after every upload and every Monday.com sync. You'll see exactly which customers are shared — and which portfolio companies serve them.
Activate introductions and track results
Click any overlap to request an introduction. The facilitating company connects the requesting company with the shared customer. Track status from request through closed deal.
Portfolio Intelligence FAQ
How accurate is the overlap detection?
PE Ontology uses three matching tiers: domain match (95% confidence), street address match (90%), and contact email match (85%). The algorithm catches overlaps even when company names are abbreviated or misspelled.
What data do I need to upload?
At minimum: company name. For better matching: company website domain, street address, city, state, ZIP. For contact-level matching: contact name, email. CSV export from any CRM works.
Can I track the revenue from introductions?
Yes. When an introduction leads to a deal, you can link it and track the value. Over time, you'll see the total revenue generated from portfolio network effects.
Does it work with only 2 portfolio companies?
Yes. Overlap detection works with 2 or more companies. The more companies in your portfolio, the more overlap opportunities the algorithm finds — the value grows exponentially with portfolio size.
Is customer data shared between portfolio companies?
No. Each company's customer data is isolated. The overlap detection engine identifies matches, but the underlying customer lists are never exposed across company boundaries. Only the overlap is shown.
Your portfolio companies share customers. Do you know which ones?
Find out in minutes. Upload customer lists and the overlaps appear automatically.
